Prepping the seeds:

We cheated a little and bought a few pre-prepared plants, including a baby fig tree, tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, and herbs. When all is said and done, we should have basil, rosemary, thyme, garlic chives, cilantro, lemon balm, oregano, celery, 7-8 kinds of lettuce and spinach and endive, zucchini, summer squash, carrots, radishes, cucumbers, and of course the tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, and figs! And maybe some other things that I can’t remember. Should be a yummy summer! And everything is organic, since I’ve now become anti-chemicals in everything from cleaning supplies (vinegar, Castile soap) to my food (yukky unhealthy pesticides… Not for us, especially with my dad’s body being pumped with toxins anyway).

Speaking of my dad, he’s home after a month in the hospital!!! He’s feeling a bit better, although the jury is still out. As with anything, there are good days and bad days, but we’re hoping the recent move home will promote more good days. It’s definitely nice not to be in that awful hospital 24/7 anymore!

Yesterday I took a short break from being inside my house and I went to Richmond to watch Elise run a 10k. She was awesome and finished in an hour!! We then had yummy yummy brunch. Richmond is actually a really cute city. I want to go back and see it a bit more at some point.

Next week I start my scuba class and next weekend I’ll be in the city for Anna and my’s annual Easter weekend extravaganza including church (SUCH a bad Jew) and boozy brunch!!! Definitely one of my favorite holidays πŸ™‚

I hope everyone is enjoying the gorgeous weather! Yay for sun!
